01. Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

This website is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the European standard EN 301 549 pursuant to Directive (EU) 2019/882. Substantially conformant means that content largely satisfies the accessibility standard, with ongoing audits in place to remediate any identified edge cases.

02. Technical Measures Implemented

Skip to Content Navigation A dedicated skip link is present at the start of the DOM to allow keyboard and screen-reader users to bypass repetitive header navigation directly to the primary page content.
Semantic HTML Structure Proper use of landmark elements (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <footer>, <section>) and hierarchical heading order (H1 through H4) to support assistive technologies.
Focus Management & Visual Rings High-visibility focus outlines (:focus-visible) are rendered on all interactive elements including nav links, form inputs, and buttons.
Pre-emptive Reduced Motion Compliance CSS and JavaScript animation routines query (prefers-reduced-motion: reduce) to automatically disable kinetic animations, custom cursor overrides, and scroll inertia.
Clear ARIA Labels & Live Regions Inputs, search bars, copy buttons, and status messages include explicit aria-label and aria-live attributes for screen readers.
